ASM Dome at Dusk

I absolutely love going to the ASM dome! I’d never been at dusk or at night, as the garden under it is closed by 8pm. However, we really wanted to see what it looked like lit up when up close, and we were not disappointed.

The ASM Geodesic Dome sits on the 45-acre campus known as Materials Park, home to the headquarters of ASM International. Originally built in 1959, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009. There is also a time capsule at the base, and if you look in the windows, everything has been kept as true to the times of it’s creation as possible.

I absolutely love coming here and walking in the mineral garden year round, but the dome always fascinates me as a designer. It’s truly a delight! If you’re ever in the area and have the chance to stop and see it, I highly recommend it.
