Hi! I’m Kuu!

Hello! I go by Kuu and I'm the owner and creator of Stitch Kitty Kuu.  I started crocheting several years ago and specialize in making amigarumi (stuffed animals).  I love making clothing pieces as well, but amigarumi are my absolute favorite. 

Before crochet, I was a metalsmith specializing in micromaille chainmialle.  I love silversmithing and working with copper and still do so on occasion, but rarely. 

I see the world differently than most people around me.  I am constantly seeing the potential in everything to see what else it could be.  My brain is constantly creating new things, stories, creations.  So, buckle in because you never quite know what you'll see next from me.  Sure, most will be crochet, but I'll be throwing in the random madcap idea or creation here and there, too.  ;)

Meet Marshall, my 8 1/2 foot dragon.

I get a lot of questions about Marshall, so I figured I’d answer some of them here.

  • 2 months.

  • I haven’t weighted him, but I’m guessing about 45-50 pounds?

  • No and no. Though I had fun making him, he’s not truly finished yet and, at this time, I don’t intend to make another. I intend to keep him for now.

  • That is Annabelle and she decided to lay on him for that picture all on her own. lol

  • Yes! I have entered 3 contests. So far, he’s won: Best in show, First place, and Honorable Mention.
