Pet Urns
When I lost my sweet girl, Perky, last Monday, my roommate asked me if I’d be buying an urn for her ashes. I sat there in stunned silence for a moment before I asked in confusion, they make those? I had no idea. I had previously had my cat, Tag, cremated 8 years ago, but he had come home in a tin and I had no idea there was such a thing as decorative pet urns. Had I known, I had gotten one. They told me I could find them on Amazon, so on to Amazon I went. I was floored by the huge selection they offered and also happy to see that we can honor our best friends like this. So, in the end, I bought two: one for Tag and one for Perky. I really liked these because I could print and put a picture in each one. So, I ordered my photos. Tuesday, I was able to bring home Perky’s remains, so I decided last night that I would finally set them up and find a good place to keep them. I really like the final result. They now reside on a book case in my office overlooking my desk. The two of them used to love to watch me work on my laptop or at my desk when they were younger, sometimes even laying across an arm or something. So, I thought it was only fitting that they be able to watch over me now. <3
