Northern Lights in Northeast Ohio

Friday night was the night the solar storm made it possible for the northern lights to be seen all the way down into Alabama, so of course we had to take advantage of the sight. By the time I got home from work, I was very tired as was my roommate, but there is a dark park nearby, so we decided that, since we live in the woods, we’d probably get a better view if we went there. We were not disappointed!

We could see some of it with our eyes, but the real show was seen better with our phone cameras as they are able to pick up much more light. Then we came home and took some photos through the trees as well. I also managed to get a photo of the big dipper!

Forecasters are saying that there are more solar storms occurring so I’m hoping we get more chances to see more of these beautiful wonders! Next time, I’m hoping to be able to make it up to the lake. :)
