World Oddities Expo - Cleveland
World Oddities Expo was a fun time! It was smaller than I expected, but still a lot of fun. There was a good variety of vendors there selling everything from bones, to specimens in specimen jars, to art work, to antiques. Of course, Ripley and I found a lot of uranium glass and even brought home a few pieces. I’m to the point that I’m going to have to clear out a cabinet like they did to just dedicate to my uranium glass collection. lol! I also learned that day that two of my favorite things are (although it is rare) sometimes combined: carnival glass and uranium glass. Ripley found for me a uranium carnival glass bowl and I am absolutely over the moon! I’ve been collecting carnival glass for years, but to find out that this exists? Ah! Anyway, my total takeaways from the trip were the uranium carnival glass bowl that Ripley got for me, two uranium plates, a set of embroidered horns and cat ears each, a wing ring, bone bracelet, and some stickers. It was fantastic! I can’t wait to take Ripley to the bigger one I like to go to next year. :D
